The Ancient Egyptians are significantly older than the Aztecs; their civilisation began well over five thousand years ago, first becoming recognisable around 3000 B.C, while the Aztec Empire originated in the early 1400s A.D.
You may be thinking of the Mayans (a lot of people confuse the various civilisations of South America for some reason), who are still a thousand years the Egyptians' junior, coming into being around 2000 B.C.
There is evidence of occupation in various parts of Egypt going back to at least 6,500 years ago. This is called the Predynastic period; Egypt's written history began around 5,100 years ago with the first known hieroglyphs (written on broken pottery shards) - just before the first pharaohs.
In Mexico, the Chichimec people who eventually came to be called Mexica or Azteca migrated into the Basin of Mexico around 700 years ago, becoming guests and vassals of the Toltecs; they founded their city Tenochtitlan in about 1325 AD.
This makes the Egyptians many thousands of years older than the Aztecs.
Well there's a lot of debate for the origins of the Mayan. The only evidence is the Mayan calendar. Its long count (one of the main calendar of the Mayan) dates that the calendar started at 3114 B.C, while the Egyptians date their origins at 3150 B.C. Technically they are about the same by the only difference of 46 years.
Regardless of the origin of their calendars, the Mayan Ruins have not been dated younger than 2000 years whereas some Egyptian Ruins go back over 5000 years. Egypt was certainly the older civilization.
