Detroit has hosted two Super Bowls ... one at the Pontiac Silverdome and one at Ford Field. 1) January 24, 1982 - Super Bowl XVI played at the Pontiac Silverdome. The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 26-21.

2) February 5, 2006 - Super Bowl XL played at Ford Field. The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21-10.
