John Herbert Dillinger was born in Indianapolis, IN 6/22/03. At the time, his father owned and operated a small dry goods store in a portion of the city known as Brightwood. The area, once an independent town founded in 1876, was annexed by Indianapolis some twenty years later. Dillinger left Brightwood with his father and family around 1916, relocating some 15 miles south of Indianapolis in rural Mooresville, Indiana. Many famous and infamous personages have found their respective resting spots there. He's in section 44 in Crown Hill.
