People are net segregated in the south as they are in most northern cities and towns. That was the first thing that I noticed when I moved to the south 24 years ago. All races live right next door to each other, and yes this includes whites and blacks living right next door to one another. A fact that my parents couldn't get over when visiting me. See, in Philly 20 years ago, you just didn't see it. but here, where you think it would never happen, it does. One of the biggest misconceptions about the south is that it is segregated. wrong answer. So, if your looking for a polish neighborhood, look in the phone book under the (sky's)last names and you may find something. Chances are your not going to. I have seen some extreme neighborhoods in Memphis though. Jewish... but even there, its mixed. Welcome to the melting Pot.
