Each program that is waiting for Input/Output is put into a blocked state inside the computer. The programs only enter the Ready/Running state when they are available to perform I/O operations.

Because of DMA (Direct Memory Access) and because of the fact that most processes will be blocked, the effect of having a reasonable number of I/O programs will be minimal to the performance of your machine. If you have an extravagant number of I/O programs, your computer will see significantly slower performance.

Function of input and output in payroll system?

payroll system with input

What is input and output distance?

Input distance is the distance from the input device to the system processing the input, while output distance is the distance from the system processing the output to the output device. These measures are important in various fields such as engineering and technology to ensure efficient and accurate communication between input and output devices.

What is the purpose of a resistor applied to the base of a transistor?

Any system you design will have an input and an output. The output will connect to the input of another system which will load it, so when you are designing any system you have to consider how loading it will effect the circuit performance.

What is the program that manages the data between the operation system and all input and output devices attached to the system?

basic input output system (BIOS)

In a positive feedback system how does the output affect the input?

In a positive feedback system, the output enhances or amplifies the input that started the process, causing a self-reinforcing loop. This means that an increase in the output leads to an increase in the input, continuing to drive the system further in the same direction.

What is the requirement of input output interface?

For it to be an input device, the requirements are for the user to be able to input information into a device or computer system. (keyboard, mouse) Output devices need to show and display information aswell as produce information. (monitor, printer) A touch-screen mobile phone would be a good example for an input/output device, you touch the screen to get it to do something, at the same time you gather the information from the screen.

What is the force you put into a system?

The force you put into a system is typically referred to as the input force. It is the force applied to a system to produce a desired output or effect. The input force can be used to move, lift, or change the state of an object within the system.

What does efficiency compare energy output with?

Efficiency compares the useful energy output of a system to the total energy input. It provides a measure of how well a system converts input energy into useful output energy.

Which shows relationship between work input and work output?

The relationship between work input and work output is defined by the efficiency of a system. Efficiency is a measure of how well a system converts input work into output work and is calculated as the ratio of output work to input work. A higher efficiency indicates a more effective conversion of work input to work output.
