In World War II, there were three notable strengths that the Allied Powers brought to bear against their enemies. Tremendous material advantage (more planes, tanks, ships, etc., than the opponents) was one. Courageous and resourceful individuals throughout their armed forces (which caused great surprise to their enemies) was another. Finally, Allied leadership was at the highest level more unified and efficient than the leadership on the other side of the lines.
