It is Absolutely Horrible with rat's all over the place. Most of the time children had to go under machines and collecting waste. There were many accidents and there was children as young as 4 working. The room its self would be dirty and dusty, lots of people became seriously ill from breathing in all the fumes. People would work long hours and no brakes and their jobs were very dangerous and many adults also were injured. If they did something wrong, was late to work they would be beeten. But these were the lucky ones, they had food drinks and shelter.

Factory Acts were a series of laws implemented by the British Parliament to improve factory conditions. Initially, the Acts were created to regulate the conditions of children who worked in the cotton mills. Eventually, acts were added that improved the working conditions of all who worked in the factories.
