They had to:

The children and the other workers (usually women) would not be aloud to talk and would work in the dark. They were also unpayed and un-bathed!

  1. clean the floor
  2. work in most factories (they could get so many life threatening illnesses and would probably die after a month or two of working)
  3. mining
  4. chimney cleaning (this was dangerous because they could get stuck)
  5. sowing/embroidery

and basicly any other boring, dangerous jobs you can think of!:-0
