Before WWI America's economy was great. Farmers weren't in debt and soldiers always had a steady job. After WWI however, Rent and food prices doubled. Farmers were struggling because England's crops were trading with our buyers. Therefore our farmers had no one to sell to overseas. Women and children took over jobs while the men were in war. So when the men came back they had no open oppotunities.
