Now, a new milestone approaches that directly relates to the fans known as Red Sox Nation. On Wednesday, Sept 3, 2008 the Boston Red Sox will sell out Fenway Park for the 456th consecutive game, setting a new MLB record for most consecutive sellouts at any venue. The record, currently at 455 consecutive games, was set by the Cleveland Indians when they first opened Jacobs Field, now known as Progressive Field. "The Jake" sold out from June 12, 1995 until April 4, 2001 and at the time the record appeared to be pretty safe. And it was, that is until Red Sox Nation was born.

In 2011 the patriots were the only team to sell out all games -- home and away.
As of my last update in October 2023, specific data on the number of sold-out games for the Cleveland Indians (now known as the Cleveland Guardians) can vary each season. Historically, the team has had several sold-out games, especially during competitive seasons or key matchups. For the most accurate and current statistics on sold-out games, it's best to check the team's official website or recent news sources.
The Boston Red Sox have sold out the most consecutive games in MLB history while the Portland Trailblazers have sold out the most consecutive home games in the NBA (and in North America for any sport).
The Dallas Cowboys have sold the most merchandise since 2001, and sold more merchandise than any other NFL team in the 90's.
