Now, a new milestone approaches that directly relates to the fans known as Red Sox Nation. On Wednesday, Sept 3, 2008 the Boston Red Sox will sell out Fenway Park for the 456th consecutive game, setting a new MLB record for most consecutive sellouts at any venue. The record, currently at 455 consecutive games, was set by the Cleveland Indians when they first opened Jacobs Field, now known as Progressive Field. "The Jake" sold out from June 12, 1995 until April 4, 2001 and at the time the record appeared to be pretty safe. And it was, that is until Red Sox Nation was born.

I'm not 100% on this question. To me it would seem that the team that wins the most games is the team that determines who has the most games. It's a statistic, not a decision, determination, or vote.
