As Africa is a large continent, is inhabited by just over a billion people and covers a great geographic and socioeconomic range it is almost impossible to say "what Africa eats".
Cultural as well as geographic locality would play a strong role in what food stuff are produced and consumed within a specific local.
However, much of Africa is relatively undeveloped, and for this reason it is safe to assume that the bulk of foods are unprocessed and come from primary agriculture.
These would include basic/ staple foods such as:
Meats:
Goat, Lamb, Beef, Pork, Chicken and fish
Grains:
Corn/ Maize, Wheat, Rice, Sorghum (as well as grain products such as bread)
Vegetable's:
Beans, Eggplant, Tomato, Potato, Cassava, Cabbage, Peppers
Fruit:
Mango's, Dates, Papayas
Drink:
Milk (from various sources), Water, Juice
