the middle colonies were ruled by the British. William Penn was a quaker and quakers don't pick sides and love all. He wanted streets to be bigger and to have parks to feel more relaxed. Woman had more of a role in church. Poor people and even Africans participated in religious events.

One interesting fact about the Middle Colonies is that they were called the "Breadbasket Colonies" because they grew wheat, grain, corn, and rye.

It is true that farming was easier for the middle colonies than it was for the New England colonies. The middle colonies had better soil and a longer growing season.

Well New York was one of the most important colonies cause it was right in the middle of the middle colonies. It was used to send mail, to transport goods, etc.
