Genghis Khan is a title, It is not a name.

It's true meaning is somewhat contested as khan is roughly equivalent to lord in Mongolian but Genghis is contested, some say it means precious, others universal. The whole title, whatever it's specific meaning was the title given to Temujin Yasugei.

The name means Iron worker (Temujin) Son of Yasugei.
