Edith Hann Beer's seems to have been a most resourceful person. Her main strength to me is her determination to survive. She appears to have dealt with every challenge thrown at her with extreme courage and to some degree, cunning. I would also believe that she was somewhat the opportunist who used her obvious intelligence to overcome the odds to triumph against hatred and the awful racism that existed in Germany in the Nazi era.
