he found solidarity
A former worker at a Polish shipyard, he played an important role in bringing an end to Communist rule in Poland. He was consistently involved in activities toward the establishment of free--therefore illegal under Communist regime--trade unions in Poland. He played a key role in creating the first free Trade Union "Solidarity" in 1980, which in turn led the anti-Communist movement of Poland in the 1980s. After the fall of communism, he was elected the first President of Poland, While he did not get reelected ever again, he was much more successful in being recognized internationally, including the winning of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1983.
It was when the polish were weak after WW1 and then lech walesa (pronounced lekh valensa) the leader, made Poland a stronger econamy and a democratic country. Then now all the polish people are living in peace but Poland still has problems with the government. So that is pretty much what you need to know about the Solidarity. 1 kg of sugar will weigh slightly more at the poles compared to the equator due to differences in gravity caused by the Earth's rotation. Gravity is stronger at the poles and weaker at the Equator due to the centrifugal force caused by the Earth's rotation.
1981 was the year in which a non-communist trade union, known as the Solidarity movement challenged the iron-fisted Communist bureaucracy. The movement was led by Lech Walesa, and resulted in strikes in the port of Gdansk, Poland, and the communist backlash, when the government declared martial law. Eventually, the communist government was forced to negotiate with the union. For more detailed information, please see link below:
more personal freedom, less economic freedom.
The Nazi Germans invaded Poland and murdered thousands of Poles. They kicked the Poles out of their own country and moved Germans into Poland. They murdered thousands of Jews and relocated thousands more to the relocation centers until they completed the concentration camps. Many Poles managed to escape and make it to freedom. Those Poles joined the Allies to defeat the Nazis. Many Poles left in Poland started up the Underground Resistance. The Poles who escaped manage to inform the French and British about the atrocities the Nazis were doing in Poland. They told them that most of the remaining Poles were made to do slave labor or else they would be shot.
Depletion of ozone layer is near the poles. It is actually at the poles. It is because of low weather.
They don't. The equator receives more solar energy per area unit than the poles do.
8 to 18 feet long. The thicker the bamboo, the longer the poles can be. The longer the poles, more people can dance at once.
It is the concept of freedom which means that someone has the freedom to trade, freedom of property rights and freedom of wealth accumulation. It is more of a Negative Freedom
There is not more rain in the poles. Polar regions tend to receive less precipitation compared to equatorial regions due to lower temperatures and less moisture in the air. The extreme cold temperatures at the poles can result in more snowfall rather than rain.
