Well in countries like Poland, Denmark, France, Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg (which the Germans occupied throughtout WW2) most Jews were sent to concentration camps (where they were usually gassed or shot) either in their country or Germany. Also, nearly all German Jews were sent to concentration camps. However, some Jews managed to remain hidden or escape from their occupied countries - some Jews could escape to Scotland from Norway, for instance, but some died en route to Norway. In total, 6 million Jews were killed by the Nazis. Russian and Poland for sure --- Jews were taken from all areas under German rule: * Austria * Czech Republic * Slovakia * Poland * The Netherlands * Belgium * Luxembourg * France * Norway * Serbia * Greece * Russia * Ukraine * Belarus * Lithuania * Latvia * Estonia * From 1943, also from Italy * From 1944, alsofrom Hungary Two of Germany's allies - Romania and Croatia - carried out their own Holocausts.
Yes, it was all over Europe apart from Switzerland. In all countries under Nazi rule and Nazi occupation: * Germany and Austria (as expanded in 1939-41) * Bohemia and Moravia (Czech Republic) * Poland * Norway * The Netherlands * Belgium * Luxembourg * France * Greece * Serbia * Lithuania * Latvia * Estonia * Soviet Union (Russia. Belarus, Ukraine) * Hungary * Slovakia * Italy (when under German occupation from 1943 onwards) In addition, two of Germany's allies, Croatia and Romania, persecuted the Jews and conducted their own national holocausts.
the holocaust
about 65 million Jews died or got buried alive.
By the start of the Holocaust the (affected) Jews had already suffered many years of discrimination, most Jews in Poland were in ghettos, Jews in Germany had most of their rights taken away from them.
During the Holocaust, Jews were captured and sent to death and concentration camps. At the death camps, Jews were killed. By shooting, Strangling, Poisen gas(Gas Chamber), and Burning alive. The Holocaust Killed MILLIONS of Jews. and only 100 or so Jews survived. All Jews caught were Starved, beaten ect
They would be taken to camps or killed.
