The Protestant Reformation took place in 1517, and split Christianity between Catholicism and Protestantism. Rhode Island was founded by radical theologian, Roger Williams in 1636, after being driven out of the Massachusetts colony for what was considered radical thinking in those days.
The Renaissance began first, but history is not a timeline where one thing starts where another ends, so there is some overlap of the beginning of the Reformation and the end of the Renaissance. Also, there were reformers during the renaissance but they are not considered directly part of the reformation that Luther is famous for.

The Middle Ages came before the Renaissance. The name of what came after varies depending on what is important to the speaker. Many consider the following period to be the Age of Discovery, the Age of Sail, or the Protestant Reformation. Others more generally call it the Early Modern period.

At first, religion became more popular, but as the Renaissance began, the importance of religion started to decline. Especially when the Gutenberg printing press was invented, people referred to read the Bible for themselves than the clergy to read it for them. And when the Protestant Reformation came along, many of the townspeople wanted to rebel against the church because they wanted changes to be made to their church.
The crusades came first.

This question is mistaken. The Protestant Reformation came along way after the Ancient Greek period.
