The casting of small gold items through the lost wax process was devloped by certain tribes into a highly skilled art Certain tribes also had a tradition of making ceremonial masks and figures. Many of these are now considered to be significant works of native art and culture. Some of these early tribal artifacts can be found in the ethnographical sections of many of the world's greatest museums.
