After going through two Latin dictionaries without finding a word strting with the letter y, I get the idea that there isn't one. The best I could come up with is that the Romans would use y in a Greek derived word, but not at the beginning of the word. The y is the symbol for the Greek letter upsilon.

In addition to Uranus, there was/are many Latin words beginning with the letter U. A few of them are: Uxor, meaning a wife, Urna, meaning a jog or a pitcher, and Urbs, meaning a city. The Roman Latin had no letter W and the letter Y was only introduced at the end of the republic to denote certain words of Greek origin. The Y took the place of the Greek epsilon.
