I've always given a small basket filled with: - Bread, that you may never be hungry. - Sugar, that life is always sweet. - Salt, that life is never dull & has spice. - A penny or coin, that there will always be wealth. - A bottle of wine/champagne, you always have a reason to celebrate. Yes, this is a modern version of the old tradtion... but makes a lovely gift that brings warm blessings into the new home.

I've poured enough drinks to know that people don't always want advice—they just want to talk.
