No at the moment there is no king today there is a president.

Hereditary rulers called Pharaohs ruled Egypt from c.3100BC until 30BC when Egypt became a Roman province.

The monarchy was restored in 1922 when Egypt gained independence from British rule. There were three more kings all basically puppets of the British Raj:

Faud I (1868-1936) reigned 1922-36

Farouk (1920-65) reigned 1936-52

Faud II (b.1952) regency 1952-53

Colonel Nasser took over the government in 1953 and declared Egypt a republic.

I don't think there is a specific one, but some gods and goddesses are part of it. For example: Hathor was believed to be the pharaohs mother. Another is, Pakhet, she is believed to be protecting the pharaoh when in battle.

There were many Pharaohs of ancient Egypt, although rule by queens was less common. The modern kingdoms of Egypt (1805 through 1953) had thirteen rulers, all of them male.
