she was married to a man named peter Jacob (Jewish name, not German) she was surrounded by Jews in the movie biz in Germany guys like harry sokol, after the war she was lionized by Jewish media types and her reputation restored.

and she doesnt look particularly German, there are obvious hints of jewishness in her look. so decide for yourself. My guess is she is kosher.

leni wasnt Jewish at all but yes she did have certain features that liked to present themselves as Jewish, if leni was Jewish- would Hitler have actually spent so much time with her? it is only a myth that Jewish people tend to have large noses, they get a large nose from DNA not from a religion. and if she was Jewish, why was she suspected of being a nazi sympathiser. some said she was a nazi but that was wrong too. she was just someone who was interested in being in the movie biz.

TO CLARIFY: Leni Riefenstahl was not Jewish. She stated in her autobiography that she was protestant. (information found here: http://answers.Google.com/answers/threadview/id/524519.HTML). After the war Leni Riefenstahl's reputation was not restored and she tried on at least 15 occasions to produce and direct new films but was met with opposition from the public amongst other sources. Hitler reportedly referred to her as the ideal German woman, despite many of her traits and ambitions being very unlike the ideal German woman later to be presented to Germany.
