yes - he was a success, he got rid of the English and got India independence.
This was a sucess in his mind.

I am not convinced that Gandhi was entirely happy with the immediate result of the independent states he was instrumental in creating, but looking at the long term I am not sure that this measure of success is important. Gandhi in his life did more than this, he changed the way the whole world thinks and, given a free press, showed that non violent protest can effect real change. His legacy is to the world, not just India and Pakistan.

Gandhi faught for multiple rights other than freedom from Britain. These include rights for women, a united India, and removal of the Caste System. He accomplished gaining freedom for India, but failed to complete his task in the other fights.

Yes
first of all, its not GHANDI, it is GANDHI,
and yeah he was successful, mainly because of his non-violence.
but i dont know if he would be successful in the modern world...
yes, Gandhi was successful against Great Britain. His believes on noncooperation nonviolence and civil disobedience made him successful but the main reason that he successful because the World War II are a good condition to demand their independence.
Gandhi was not completely successful at achieving his goals. He did help to gain the independence of India from the British which was his largest success.
the success he achieved was the freedom of his country, which is the most valuable thing.
Gandhi was partly not successful as he made his community have a protest which means that they got arrested. They got arrested because of the Salt March.
As India is today an independent state, I would say the Gandhi's campaign (along with others) was very successful in forcing the removal of British rule.
How did civil rights leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr. develop a nonviolent strategy?
he wanted to stop the war because he believed that violence is not the element of success and violence doesn't get you anywhere.
Yes Feroze Gandhi is a Gandhi, but he is not related to Mahtma Gandhi in anyway , he is the husband of Indira Gandhi.
Kasturba Gandhi
