Was Gandhi a bad or good person?

For the most part he was a decent person; however he did have some negative character aspects. GANDHI WAS A CARING PERSON WHO WANTED EQUALITY BETWEEN THE INDIANS AND THE BRITISH. GANDHIWAS THE KIND OF PERSON THAT FOUGHT FOR HIS BELIEFS.

well.... i am nobody to judge him. i cannot say that he was bad. in fact no one can judge anyone as we are not with d person 24 hours to keep an eye on him. v cannot even judge ourselves. according to me a good human being counts a person's positive points instead of negative and makes a judgement about that person on the basis of his positive points. there are no bad people in the world, its the situation which forces them to do bad. we must not waste our time on finding someone's bad points, if it is to be found and changed, it should be done to ourselves.

It can't be said in black and white whether he was good or bad due to a lot of history being fabricated.

Everyone has opinions...people hate him because he allowed a lot of bloodshed and people call him a hero because they think they got independence. It all depends on how you see it.

My opinion- he had good intentions but his ignorance was played on and led to numerous mistakes on his part causing many deaths.
