On July 23, Monday our tour group from Stephen's , Warwick, NY will be in Normandy probably late morning (after attending 9:00 am Mass at the Notre Dame de Chartres. I understand our first stop will be in Pointe du Hoc, the enemy command post of the entire invasion front. We continue with a walk on Omaha Beach, where we will view the U.S. Monument.
Independent lunch.
Our D-Day tour also includes a visit to the American Military Cemetery of St. Laurent.
We return to Lisieux for lodging.
Please advise me if there is a possibility that I can accomplish this.

No there is not but there is a lot of famous cemeteries with people who have died but some of the graves are unnamed
There is none. If you know the unit that the Veteran was a member of on June 6, 1944, you can look them up in the unit history. If you do not know the unit, you are SOL. Today's news stated that approx 3 MILLION troops (and maybe sailors and airmen) participated in D-Day invasion. They also stated that 100,000 troops, including 32,000 paratroopers, landed on Normandy the first day. So that is a lot and of course not all Americans.
We do not, but the various countries do. Names and rankmust be known and you enquire at the various country office of War Graves or equivqalent
Is there a list of the purple heart recipients from the invasion of panama?
The precise list of troops in Afghanistan would be difficult to obtain, as some units will be special service troops and will not advertise their presence in Afghanistan.

It is easier to find a list of soldiers who died during the Battle of Normandy, than it is to find those who lived. Several genealogy websites have been set up and may be able to provide survivors with information.
Dean's List - 2002 MTVU Campus Invasion Tour was released on: USA: 12 April 2006
WWII was a global conflict on June 6, 1944. The Normandy landings included operations throughout the European theater. There was no close air support during the landings to avoid friendly fire casualties on the beaches and to the paratroop divisions further inland. Early air strikes were directed at troops and infrastructure that Germany needed to move reinforcements to the defense of the Normandy peninsula, and at maintaining the ruse that the main attack would be a landing near Calais where Germany had placed its elite troops. Later strikes were made to help the invasion force break out of its beachhead. The direct answer to your question would be a meaningless list England France Germany Belgium Netherlands Denmark Italy Philippines Japan and so on if you could scour military archives for all the operational reports from that day.
