Everything is considered bad luck to some culture. However, ivy is not in any normal American culture that I know of. Today Ivy is also a staple in a Brides wedding flowers, this is because Ivy is said to bring on fertility. This has been used for centuries (especially in England) to bring abundance to the new couple. Where you see alot of Ivy you will be "Rich". Thanks

When a baseball gets stuck in the ivy at Wrigley Field, the umpire typically calls for a ground rule double. This means that the batter is awarded second base, and any runners on base advance two bases from where they were at the time of the pitch. The ivy-covered outfield wall is part of the unique character of the park, and such occurrences are considered a natural part of the game there. Players often try to dislodge the ball, but if it remains stuck, the ground rule is enforced.

A plant that is green and complements ivy well is the pothos plant (Epipremnum aureum). Pothos has heart-shaped leaves that are variegated with shades of green and can trail nicely alongside ivy. It is also easy to care for and makes a good companion plant for ivy in indoor environments.
