Yes, "Bal" is a common surname among Jat Sikhs, who are a sub-group within the broader Jat community in India. The Jats are traditionally an agricultural community in the northern regions of India, and they follow Sikhism as their religion. The use of surnames like "Bal" helps to identify individuals within the Jat Sikh community and can indicate their lineage or ancestral background.
