The size of the gas chambers varied and was geared to the size of the crematoria.
The capacities were as follows (per 24 hours):
The capacities were limited only by the capacity to dispose of the bodies, the chambers could be re-used within about four hours. During most of the Holocaust the SS had more 'gassing capacity' than it needed.
by meaning 1 hut, i think you mean either How many people were in 1 concentration camp or 1 hut as a gas chamber at Auschwitz I well i tell both Depending on which concentration camp, theirs hundreds of them with spaces but i use a popular common camp and that is Auschwitz II-Birkenau. Auschwitz II-Birkenau has a max cap of 2.1 million people. Red house hut was a hut only for gas chamber prisoners and it could kill up to 12,500 prisoners at a time
There are actually two prison camps- Auschwitz 1 and Auschwitz Birkenau. Auschwitz 1 was formally a soldier barracks, and so looks mildly 'normal' it has rows of houses, streets etc but with walls, barbed wire and towers. However, there is a gas chamber there which is rather horrific. Auschwitz Birkenau was the larger, purpose built camp- it is unbelievably massive. You enter through the main gates and their are literally sheds as far as the eye can see. Blown up gas chambers at the end from where the Germans attempted to hide the evidence.
Auschwitz was a concentration and extermination camp. It was the largest camp out of all of them. It was the first camp to have gas chambers. People that were in Auschwitz were told as they entered that if they worked hard, they would be set free (which was a lie). The banner going into Auschwitz said "Arbeit Macht Frei", which is German for ' work makes one free'.
The Soviet Army was approaching Auschwitz and the SS guards knew they could expect no mercy at all if they were captured. The SS wanted to cover up what had happened there. The SS also wanted to prevent the liberation of the prisoners, and therefore took them on death marches to other camps inside Germany.
because they were ordered to. This does not mean that they could not have asked for a transfer out, but all of the doctors were in the military and as such they would have been posted.
In one go atleast 300,000 people could of been held at Auschwitz.

The prefix "endo-" can be used to indicate within or inside, so "endoroom" or "endochamber" could be used to convey the idea of a room or chamber.
2 500 at a time in the largest.
About 17,000 at Auschwitz I, II and III combined.
no
It is not true. For the most part, Auschwitz was not known for the atrocities until after the war was over. Even if people knew the extent, they could do nothing about it.
No. It would be pointless to destroy the chamber, once the monster inside it was dead the chamber posed no harm. Besides, it was so deep under Hogwarts damage to the chamber would probably impact the structure of the building.
