The feudal system was a simple way of helping the king earn money, protection and food, when the king would give the barons a large piece of land if they would train knights for him. Then the baron would promise the knights a smaller piece of land to fight for him. Then the knights would get villeins to farm for them for an even smaller piece of land. It helped william get control as it was a very organised way to control the country and the rankings of the King, Barons, Knights and villeins are clearly stated.

The feudal system was William's way of splitting the land between the people of England. The king lent land to his barons in return for rent money and loyalty. The barons had massive amounts of land to keep so they lent some to the knights in return for rent and soldiers. Now the knights had large amounts of land so they lent some to the villains (or peasents) in return for rent and soldiers. That way everyone in England was happy until later in Williams rule.

The knights did not give land to the peasants to own. They gave it to them so they could use it for farming.

It helped him keep controle. it is usefull i mean, not fair but usefull. imagine if you owned all of england. (not huge but big i know) then you need to leave different people in charrge. then they use the land to rent and gain monny. then they payed there taxes (that the people renting pay to them) to the lord and also provide men for an army when needed.

What was the conclusion to Japan's feudal System?

The feudal system was meant to help organize things for people.( To help people) how it worked: what happened was that the king was at the top and then the nobles were given land that was split up so they couldn't start a rebellion and the nobles gave their land to lots of knights which gave there land to lots of peasants which farmed the land and paid taxes. the knights fought and the king gave the noble more land so that he was richer more land=richer you are! this kind of system was based on kept promises. if some promises were not kept the entire system fails. Therefore I think that the Feudal System isn't fair especially for the peasants.
