After becoming the governer of province in 1726,Zakriya Khan launched a still severer policy against Sikhs and let loose terror upon them The Sikhs were driven away to Malwa Region by a Lakhpat Rai,the minister at Mughal Court A Sikh named Taru singh was tortured by Zakriya Khan his men tried to cut hair of Taru singh as ordered by Zakriya Khan but none has courage to do it and taru singh scalp was removed On the same day Zakriya Khan had a kidney failure.AS taru Singh said in court his shoe will only kill him It is said It was suggested that if Zakaria Khan hit himself with Bhai Taru Singh's shoes, his condition might be lifted. Although the shoe cured the Khan's condition, he died 22 days later from hitting himself with the shoes on his head.
