It is believed Egyptians used many tools and devices that are still in use today.
Ferries
Ramps
Pulleys
Cranes
Ropes
and a lot of man power.
Some believe that the Egyptians even placed their blocks inside giant wooden wheels and rolled them up the ramps. ^_^

For a pyramid stone weighing about 2.5 tons it is estimated that about twenty slaves were required. For an obelisk weighing about 120 tonnes the number increases to about a 1,000. For longer distances heavy stones were placed on barges and floated on the Nile.

They could have moved the block through water, which would be Fluid Friction, and makes it easier to move.
The early Egyptians used inclined planes to move heavy stones for the pyramids.
Houses and apartment blocks, same as you.
they made blocks of mud and laid them in the sun to dry
Ancient Egyptians feared having a heavy heart because usually a heavy heart means it's full of lies. If your heart was full of lies you would be rejected by the gods and be killed...again.

Another way the Egyptians could have reduced friction to move the heavy blocks is by using lubricants such as water or animal fat on the ground or ramps. This would have helped to decrease the resistance between the blocks and the surface, making it easier to slide them into place. Additionally, they could have used rollers or sledges underneath the blocks to minimize friction as they were being moved.
they carried them up with their muscles
they used limestone blocks only but they are so heavy and big they stayed put
When moving garden blocks that are heavy, you will want to use a dolly to move them safely and easily. Some people find flipping the stones or using two people help with the heavy objects.

Scientists believe that the ancient Egyptians used a combination of sledges, ramps, and manpower to move the heavy blocks, possibly aided by water to reduce friction. Recent studies suggest they might have also used a lubricant like water or animal fat on the sand in front of the sledges to make them easier to pull.

The egyptians wanted to use them in the building of their temples.
