Betsy Ross is credited with designing and sewing the original Unites States flag with the circle of thirteen stars and the red and white stripes. However, the current 50 star version was designed by Robert Heft for a school project when he was 17.

one of the presidents and maybe some of her family members. NOT much belined in her that she could design the first five pionted star
Betsy Ross stitched the first American Flag. The Betsy Ross story is a family legend that was unknown until nearly a century after Congress adopted the 13-star and 13-stripe flag. Ms Ross is known to have made flags, but her connection with sewing the very first flag of stars and strips is an undocumented myth. She was one of a number of flagmakers in Philadelphia at the time and may have been the one with the most family connections, but it wasn't until 1870 that her grandson made the claim that Betsy met with George Washington, made design suggestions, and sewed the first flag.
Creative because George Washington wanted a star with 6 points when Elizabeth (Betsy) wanted a 5 point star.

Elizabeth ( Betsy) Ross is generally credited with the design of the l3-star in a circular pattern ( hence the name of the Cruiser Constellation of l797) American Flag. There is a museum in her honor in Philadelphia. I assume you mean Betsy Ross. There was a patriotic organization of women called the Betsy Ross Corps or Betsy Ross League in the late thirties. Obviously this was a posthumous honor- but was a flag-oriented organization.

No. While Betsy Ross is better known, it is a myth that she sewed the first flag. A woman from Baltimore named Mary Pickersgill was first, in 1813, and many historians believe it was her flag that inspired Francis Scott Key, who wrote the "Star Spangled Banner."
