Probably not. There is a guy that owns a house in south daytona that claims that Al Capone bought the house for his mistress and now the house is haunted with her spirit.I would like to see some paper work as to the history of that house to see if Al Capone had anything to do with it. Also,in the 1930's Daytona was just a small sleepy town,no NASACAR, no seedway, all the neon lights were in Miami, and that's what Capone liked. Why would he come to Daytona?

Yes, he had a home at Star Island off of Miami. He also lived in Chicago,

Cicero, Atlanta and Alcatraz.

Actually, his home is on Palm Island in Miami Beach, not Star Island. I visited there in April 2010. The owner let us wander around the property and view the beach house, pool, etc. Very cool place. He also had a home in Mercer, WI. I have been to the house in Chicago. The current owner has it up for sale.

I know he had a hideaway in Northwest Wisconsin by where I live. He would go up there to get away from the law in Chicago.
