This actually means he probably likes you the same way but didn't expect you to say what you said so he's probably in shock so don't freak out like try ignoring him he'll feel very avoided by you and be very curious why you are not speaking to him then he'll probably tell you how he feels and you'll be in shock to so just hope for the best.
