Yes if You think that there may be a problem with a boyfriend and that he may hurt you if you try to leave him you will need to go to the police and let them know your situation and they will help direct you on what you should do Forget the police because they can do little without proof and forget Restraining Orders because they are useless. Go to an Abused Women's Center where they will protect you and get you settled. He won't be able to get you there. If you decide to take my suggestion then be sure you plan it out and leave when he is at work. I also suggest you delete anything you have on your computer regarding leaving him and also anything on your cell phone. If you want to phone the Abused Women's Center use someone else's phone. Don't tell people where you are going for fear of it getting back to him. You'll simply "disappear" when you go to the Abused Women's Center.
