Statues are banned,,coz some people might warship them, if you have a statue and after you die, your kids will keep this statue as a holy thing of their fathers', then the grandchildren will think one day that this statue can benefit them in luck and other aspects of life, and this is the fear,coz Muslims should believe in Allah only,Allah is our god that gives and takes and controls all. As a symbol, statues were banned. Not all statues are banned today in Islam. There are guidelines for what is art and what is considered to be something that is an idol. There are accounts that Prophet Dawood (PBUH) had statues of fierce lions at the gate of his palace in Palestine.
