Many believe orthodox medicine is better because it is "science based," but while it is better for some things, traditonal treatments in the form of herbs and other things work just as well as pharma drugs without possible serious side effects for many issues.
People in first world countires tend to use Orthodox because it is an easy access to health, people from first world countries tend to see people that take the complementary method as people from thrid world countries but people take it in first world countries as its a more natural way of treatment

I would recommend validation of traditional medicine if:- if it is given by someone other than a trusted, qualified doctor.- the medicine is not a popular, well-known brand.- if you are in doubt.
