Why is it important to consider cultural background when offering personal care?

because there are certain diseases that only exist in people from a certain background,for example there are diseases that only effect people from a mediterranian background.e.g greek or Italian. these diseases will only effect people from this background. but not someone of Anglo herritage e.g English Irish ect

This has nothing to do with personal care vs cultural background. You need to take this into consideration because some things may be offensive to certain cultures that may not seem like anything to you. One example: if you took care of this one individual and spoke before they did, they considered you rude and didnt want you in the room. Providing you were younger than they were. Another one: in one culture you are rude if you are a woman and care for a man you must never look at their face. That is considered very rude and you are thought to have very low morals.
