Men find it hard to communicate because they think differently than we do. We, women, think that it is healthy to communicate and express our feelings while men on the other hand, think feelings are just for girls and they lose their "manliness" when expressing things like we women do.

One factor is that boys and girls are often brought up very differently even within the same household. They often play in separate peer groups and their communication styles develop very differently as a result. In essence, there are different cultural influences that affect behavior as well as communication.
Fortunately, when men and women understand that these differences exist and make the effort to learn what some of them are, it becomes easier for them to communicate more effectively in their relationships with one another.
