It's a cruel way to kill a snail, and why would you want to. If you are trying to protect plants they are eating in your garden just put crushed egg shells around the base of the plant, the snails don't like this as their skin is very sensitive. Putting salt on them, must be extremely painful, it would be like pouring salt into an open wound for a human!
Snails eventually die if their is salt near them. You cant kill a snail by pouring salt on them or but just killing them hardly. (stepping on them).
They die because the salt can effect humans and any other animals including snail spices is the same
Yes, salt can be lethal to snails. When exposed to salt, snails can quickly become dehydrated as the salt draws water out of their bodies, eventually leading to their death.
No. Salt water snails have adapted to salt water and always will.

Where ever there is moisture you will find garden snails. After it rains there is water everywhere, so that is the reason that you find garden snails easily when is has rained... These creatures have more water in them. Hence if they dehydrate they will die. That is why when we put some salt on such creatures they die instantly...
Salt is very dehydrating to snails. When they come into contact with salt, it disrupts their skin's ability to retain moisture, leading to dehydration and ultimately death. Salt can also interfere with the snail's ability to maintain its internal water balance, causing harm to its cells and organs.
i don't think so, maybe. i have had a snail for a while and so far he's fine.
The salt burns their sluggy skin.
