Makeup is a wonderful thing. Anyone in marketing can tell you that an actual patient of the malady described in the ad is essential for making it believable. The fact that the patient is also an ophthalmologist who is not unattractive is that much better. All they did was take a bit more care in prepping her for the shoot to make an attractive woman more attractive. She also appears to have been coached on acting a bit in that she looks a lot less stilted than the original spot.
