Perhaps the first question is ask why we cry. Without an extensive knowledge of the physiology one could make a guess that pain to areas of the face when confronted with natural irritants would favor those that could induce a flushing of both eyes and nose to clear irritant from face.
This evolutionary response to pain carried over to emotional pain when we evolved to have complex emotional response to feelings.
So the pain emotionally is exhibits the same response it did to protect us from irritants in nature with both eye and nose flushing out.The two reactions are so wired together in us over time they now are areactionary pair.In reverse , try to sniff an onion without crying also.
I am sure someone who studied anatomy can give the mechanics of how it happens.
But this is my best guess as to why evolutionary speaking.
The eyes are connected to to nose through small tubes which drain away excess fluid in the eye. When you cry there is too much fluid filling up your eye so some overflows as tears and some drains into your nose making you feel like you have to blow.
Mucus absorbs water. When a person cries, not all of the tears come out of the eyes. Some tears drain into the mucus membranes. This allows the mucus to absorb the tears which makes a snot load of mucus!
You really shouldn't, especially with any force or with holding one nostril closed while you blow. If you blow hard enough to make your ears pop, you could cause mucus to go back up into your sinus cavities, causing more irritations and possible infection. If wiping it doesn't satisfy and you HAVE to blow your nose, just blow gently and try not to put much pressure into it, i.e, don't blow so hard your ears pop.
Use of saline nasal spray to clear your nasal passages is recommended instead by most health care professionals in these situations. Follow the label directions for use. There are also nasal irrigations you can use for this, one brand with all needed equipment is called Netti Pot.
Because sometimes your nose will fill with mucus.
Not always. People blow their noses after they sneeze, because they might feel as if there is snot in their nose. If it is necessary.
You get a tissue and blow!
yes that is why your get boogers stuck in your nose those borgers are sometimes dried snot from when you blow your nose if you do not blow your nose all the way.
blow your nose!!!
when ever they get hit in the nose real hard and when you blow your nose really hard.
runny nose
No a cow will not trust you if you blow up its nose! What kind of question is that????!!!!!
Yes, you can. It may feel a bit awkward but you can definitely blow your nose. Just be aware that you may need to clean the part of the post that is inside your nose after you blow your nose since a small build up of mucus can form.
No, get a tissue from the bathroom, better yet blow your nose there too.
Absolutely. Otherwise I sound funny and people give me weird looks.
It could be because some people have sinus issues. It is common. When we have a cold as well, sinus pressure makes us think we have a stuffy nose, when we really don't. So when we blow our nose it blocks up and creates a dry and almost honking sound.
