The most common cause of this symptom is age, especially in men. As men grow older their prostate glad tends to enlarge. This tends to impinge on the bladder. Be sure to see your doctor for a prostate exam. But understand that this is very common and not necessarily something to be overly concerned about. Just do the doctor thing to be sure.

There are inexpensive drugs you can take for this problem if it is a burden on you.

Or you may have a bladder condition, or a bad bladder, again talk to your doctor. The same thing happened to a friend, she ended up with a bladder infection, luckily it wasn't serious

It may also due to be to you're drinking something at around 10pm which is then causing that stimulus.
