Bright red blood is called frank blood, its fresher. Dark red blood is older blood that has been sitting for a while. The colour of fresh blood, say from an open wound, can be different due to variances in the number of red blood cells that person has.

some blood is dark red because its oxygen has been used up.

Venous blood is darker than other blood flowing throughout the body. This is due to the fact that blood inside veins is full of oxygen, which causes it to be a darker color.

likely because your blood has less oxygen than most... that or its having problems being filtered, or maybe high blood pressure there are many reasons it could be that way

Yes because when blood is sent from the heart through the lungs the blood is oxyginated and when it comes back through veins it has no oxygen in it so it is blue.

I think it is a natural happening in your veins. If not, blame the blood cells!
