Well because we live in earth. These is were logic steps in, Just simply because there is goodness in the world does not mean it will not be harmed, aswell as if there is evil, why shouldn't good conquer? Remember that Logically speaking... goodness always shys away from the hard paths to gaining something. For example, evil can kill someone and gain from that persons death. Whether it be money, house, and rank. Even though these is true, good can still overcome, Like selfless acts, or good intentions, these also leads to rewards. Still, looking back, evil could of been killed by the guy "it" was trying to kill, and good could have gained nothing because it was selfless acts and for good intentions thus rewards would just taint its sincerity.
But look it these way.. What makes bad actually bad? what makes good actually good? We do not know these for sure. We just assume bad is bad,and good is good? where we can actually be entirely wrong. Bad could be good, vice-versa.
If your speaking in bible.. Then It is because the world is hell. Lucifer and god made a deal sort of speak to see who was destined to go to hell or heaven. Now these does not make sense. If god created everything and is these immensely being that can do anything.. then he knows every thing that could happen before it would happen, so why make a deal with the devil? Anyways that's bible talk..dun mind me im just blahhbin on... hoped i helped
