It does not matter if it is truck mounted or not, come to think of think there are a lot of restrictions if it is truck mounted especially if you live in an apartment complex.

You have a choice between steam cleaning or dry cleaning. Steam cleaning has been around for ages and dry cleaning is a developing process. Steam cleaning uses a lot of water and detergent and often dries in 6 hours or so. Dry cleaning enables you to use your carpets almost straight away because they use dry cleaning solvents. Whatever method you use, the operator should have a truck mounted unit. They should vacuum and pre-spot the carpet before cleaning. I like chem-dry the best these days.
