The temporal pulse can be found on the side of the forehead, above the eye and in line with the eyebrow. It is typically felt by gently pressing two fingers against the skin in that area.
The head pulse point is called the temporal artery pulse point. It is located on the side of the forehead, in front of the ear.
The pulse site found at the temple of the head is called the superficial temporal artery. This artery is commonly used for checking the pulse and is located just in front of the ear.
In the human, the superficial temporal artery is the major artery of the head. You palpate, or feel for the pulse, of this artery about one inch in front of the ear. The easy way to find it is to put on a pair of glasses (sunglasses will do) and it is just under the earpiece just in front of the ear.
You can typically find the 11 main pulses (dried peas, beans, lentils, chickpeas, etc.) in grocery stores, health food stores, or markets that sell dried goods. They are also available online through various retailers.
