No,a person shouldn't be sponged with cold water because it would make the person cold and the person might shiver which is not to happen. He could rather be wrapped in a blanket so that it makes it comfortable for the person. Moreover,

it will cause sweating in the person. The sweat brings out toxins present it the body and naturally break the fever.

Absolutely not. You feel colder and warmer depending on your body temperature and it is quite the paradox since when your body temperature is higher you feel colder, and when it's lower you feel warmer.

The more you keep yourself warm the longer the fever stays. Only use light clothing such as pajamas and sleep with just a sheet.

Hot drinks does not help. ibuprofen decreases body temperature - it is available in pharmacies all around the world. Should you have a fever of 41 C, you should take large quantities of ibuprofen (1000-2500mg, average pill is 400mg), go to a cold shower (as cold as you can get it) for at least 10 minutes (your head(=brain) is the most important part to be kept cold), and contact emergency personnel.

At 108 Fahrenheit (42 celcius) you will receive brain damage and death is imminent.

You should wear blankets to break the fever and cause a sweat. It's good for you.
