In all seriousness, if the child's fever is below 102, let the body take care of itself. If the fever reaches 102 or above, then it's time for medical intervention. Children develop illnesses quite easily, and just as easily the body is able to fight it off quite well.

In case your child isn't having anything more sever than fever, then no. In case it goes over 105 fahrenheit, then you should check it out. The body will not be in severe danger until it is about 109 fahrenheit and you can treat a 102.7 fahrenheit temperature in home.

Give motrin...breaks fever and lasts 8hrs and give pedialyte to prevent dehydration...take to ER..if fever over 100F because can be fatal it get too high.
