It really depends on the information and the people sharing and receiving the information.

If you work in a profession, or something like that, where information is classified and one of your duties is to keep it to yourself, then it probably isn't wise to share the information without anyone clearly designated as otherwise.

As for personal information, you can share that when you're ready, and only to people you trust.
